Those are pre 2016 shocks. Fox will have limited information on the job # referenced on the bearing cap. What I find interesting is that they are not a custom part #. Do they have a resi port welded on the body that has been capped off? I'm assuming this is the case as they were originally a R/R shock. More pics may help if you have them.

    Part #: 980-02-111
    https://www.ridefox.com/product.php?m=offroad&t=shocks&partnumber=980-02-111

My guess is that someone bought them as a standard part # and retrofitted the body cap resi port for their application, whatever that may be. If they fit your budget then great, but being they are for the rear of a Tacoma with what I'm assuming is a 1:1 motion ration I would be concerned about the current configuration.

    Interesting...

I was expecting to see a capped resi port here. Must have been ordered as such originally. :notsure:

aren’t you worried about the resi hose hitting the tire when articulated? Seems like that hose fitting sticks out a bit.

Didn’t hit my old shocks with the resi coming out of the same location as these so no. And it it did, just replace the straight for a 90 and route it out of the way.

I asked for some more pictures of the body and details on it. Guy doesn’t seem to know much about them but I don’t either when it comes to bypasses

For sure. Adding a 90° at the body cap is definitely an option. If they are a rotatable body cap that will give you some leeway as well.

I suggest buying shocks to the specs you need, ive gone through so many shocks only to end up buying brand new what i should have got from the start.

    buy once cry once

Says the guy who’s upgraded shocks to the point of just buying a trophy truck layout being “buy once cry once”
