What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Sometimes it's just the little things.

 

Not today, but late last night (to blow off some steam), finally got around to installing the amber @CaliRaisedLed amber fogs that I picked up from @TeamBosing a while back.

 

Installed the AlphaRex Nova Series headlights in black (not Alpha Black) for my 2010, purchased them from RealTruck.com. Installation took me 4-5 hours, and the wiring was simple for my truck. Haven't tested them on the road at night but I would like to post some more pictures for those interested. The bottom two pictures are Low and Low+High beams (with fog lights off)

 

Do you mind if I steal that idea? I have a vinyl cutter

Installed icon leafs at stage 2 and went with bilstein 5160s in the rear. I originally had a 2" block lift before I replaced everything. Rear is now sitting at 40" measured from the ground. It was originally at 38 1/8". I'm sure it will settle after a bit of driving.

Total job took almost 10 hrs by myself. I ran into a lot of bolts that wouldn't break loose and had to be grinded off. Also, the shocks were a pain to get to fit in the lower mount. The icon rear bushing was very tight to fit in the shackle.

 

Swapped out the t-nuts in the bedrails for stainless steel now that I don't have a cap. Luckily someone on here made mention of it a week or so ago or I may not have thought about it. Also picked up a pair of factory headlights and a grill for $50 off of Facebook marketplace. I'll be selling the grill, but want the headlights so I can do the bhlm.

 

Installed my DD SS3 pros and did the ultimate headlight upgrade.

Also replaced my battery.

 

That's way better where'd you get it if you don't mind sharing?

Archive HH with cross tube and ubolt flip! Rear end feels planted and no more jitters.

 

Can you describe your jitters? I haven’t heard of these bars and that seems interesting. Was going to do u-bolt flip but didn’t get around to it today with trying to get my driveline adjusted. How long did that take you?

 

CVJs this time (top). Cardone (bottom) only lasted a month. Hopefully the CVJs last 50k like my other OEMs did (middle) in fact one is still good.

It's been a few weeks but got the BAMF mounted up with Diode Dynamics ss3 fogs on, as well as installing a HF winch upfront, just need to grab a steel hawse and get it properly wrapped. Oh yeah went on a small adventure this morning!

 

Finally bought a bed mat

 

I installed the anti theft brace for my tailgate from @christian06 today.



While I was at Home Depot picking up a T40 socket to remove the stock bolt. Saw a decent dented toolbox. Was 250 marked down to $156. I asked the manager if he could do any better since it wasn’t sitting level and I would have to shim it. He said how about another $100 off. I couldn’t pass that up at all

 

Felt like rear of truck was vibrating riding down smooth road and wasn’t planted. Felt like it was broken or something when it wasn’t. Hard to explain.
