Hey everyone I was wondering how you would feel about driving a Tacoma (2008 4.0 V6 DCLB) with 200K from SLC to Alaska? My plan would end up being around 7500-8000 miles round trip. A bit of history of the truck. I bought it in 2018 with 165k previous owner had enough service records to help me feel comfortable buying the truck. I have maintained the truck since replacing fluids as recommended. I have replaced all the pulleys and belt, all ball joints, U joints tie rod ends. The truck feels and runs better than vehicles I have had with the miles. Has anyone done the trip with a high mileage vehicle? What are your guys thoughts? Thanks!

A few OE parts from fancy trucks
As dear 'ole Dad liked to say, "I keep my vehicles in the condition I'd start a cross country trip tomorrow. I carry a decent tool set and a few basic parts, and have the ability repair and improvise on the road if needed"

    Fit that bill?

    Do it.

PS. This was before GPS, internet and cell phone rescues were possible.

Something overlanders of today can't do without. :D
