those look like the right part numbers. I got no shame in buying stuff from Walmart! I've actually been buying from them quite a bit over the past few months (not automotive related but still) and have been very happy with them.

Looks like Amazon has them for $76/pc so that's $304, a few bucks cheaper than Wally World.

best bet is to cross check whatever you find on Amazon (or Walmart or anywhere on the internet) to the actual manufacturers website because they are more likely to have them listed correctly for your vehicle. See below from Proforged's website.

Wow, the proforged site is pretty awesome. It actually gives the part numbers for other manufacturers too for reference.

Long story, but Ill try to make it short. I had an issue with Proforged and sent back 2 different ball joints they tried to pass off as their own. They did not match the other side and when contacted by the mfgr they told me that they will sometimes use another supplier's part in some cases in order to fulfill the order. This was some time ago and it appears they have corrected the inventory across the interwebs since then and are no longer selling that part until they can either make or acquire more. I wouldnt hold out for them when Moog is pretty much the same quality, better than oem, and more reputable. They got the NASCAR endorsement for a reason I would say.

I am big Bilstein fan over here. I think you will be happy with those. They are monotube and gas which are both advantages over cheaper alternatives. Another member on here clued me in to that fact that they are "digressive" whereas more expensive shocks are going to be "progressive" (fox, king, etc). IMO, those are going to be the best oem aftermarket solution for typical use that is bolt-on and not customized in some way. I've never experienced the 4600's personally on the Tacoma, though. I'm running some larger 5100 and 5125 Bilsteins on all 4 wheels but it took some extra effort to fit them. I have been happy so far with mine. I did have one of them blow in the front but that's bc I lost a wheel bearing and the shock took some abuse. I'll probably be sending it back to bilstein for repair.

I have had good luck with AC Delco and Mevotech for other vehicle suspension applications as well.. actually just now realizing I have bought a wide variety of balljoints in the last few years lol

OH... and I would recommend getting the ones with grease zerks if you can manage. Longer service life and will hold up but you have to remember to check and grease them occasionally. If that bothers you then get the teflon seal (non greasable) ones and anticipate changing them out sooner.

sucks when suppliers do that and don't tell you

@jmgs0942 just thought of this too - you might want to add sway bar bushings to your list too. All this talk of ball joints and other suspension parts, it's easy to forget the sway bar!

I think we figured out that the sway bar end links are slightly different for 01-04 than for 95-00. I installed these on my 2000 before removing the sway bar a while back:

    https://energysuspension.com/energy-suspension-8-5123g-front-sway-bar-bushing-set-25mm

I think they should work for you.. just check the endlinks to make sure they are the same on your ride.

I also may be willing to part with mine at a discount if I can locate all the pieces.

Yep, that's the kit that I have for my 99. Definitely will work for the 98 too.

Maybe all the parts piled up on the floor will magically install on their own in my garage one night and I won't have to cuss and bleed and sweat installing it. Who am I kidding, I'm a gluten for punishment... I'm looking forward to it...

I skimmed through, but is it possible to use v6 lift coils? I have regular v6 coils but have a steel bumper and water something stronger in the front

It's possible. I fit Fabtech coils off a prerunner strut on my 98 n then put those same coils on my 96 5 lug. I had got some Bilsteins for a Chevy that had longer stroke. Road pretty stiff but was ok for awhile

Are you able to use the stock 1999 2.4L wheels with FabTech spindles? I love the look of steelies and would save me from buying a set

    Dirt, miles, and wear.
How much do the Fabtech spindles increase the front track? Can the 3.75" of recommended backspacing be increased if the rim diameter is increased also or is it the tire that tends to hit on things first?

I'm looking at running 29 or 30" tires on a 15x7 or 16x7, but I want to avoid the fronts sticking way out past the fenders. I figure a spacer & V6 coil lift is probably enough for 29s. 30s seem like they'd be better paired with 3" spindles, but that's going to make them stick out.
