Anyone done this? How'd you do it?
I searched products but I don't think there's anything pre-made that can bolt on.
There's more discussion of it on 3rd gen subforum

for the purpose of better clearing the ground/rocks, and skid plates.

Is this just something you go to a good exhaust shop, explain to the guy the idea, and have them weld it for $90?
Last exhaust work I had done was cheap but I got lucky. Got recommended a fantastic exhaust shop and their reputation was right; they did excellent work.
But I'm guessing not all do. Which can be true for any shop/place, not just exhaust shops.

I don't know if this is something the URD Y-pipe would also address (besides "freeing up flow" as they claim)
but at $600 price tag, custom welding some pipe for $90 seems better...

Hopefully there's no downsides to such a mod. I can't think of any.
The exhaust parts are usually quick and easy to remove with the right tools, kind of light weight to handle, and you just need to buy new gaskets to put during re-install.
(for example clutch job where exhaust R&R is required anyway for trans removal)

I tucked it up higher in the stock location. It’s simpler.E96FF980-0167-42E2-B79A-0DA902CD85E2.jpg
