Hard top camper...many more to add+
I too want install a brighter headlights...I search and found some ,easy to install (bulbs only).
Reason price with solid recommendation from top lighting companies..
BUT...they all mention for Off road use only.. if you ask..is it legal? Most will tell you NO for streets..
Please do your own homework..check with the Recon guys? ..and DOT, If they say yes ..then you are safe..
Should you cause a accident because your lights blinded the other vehicles...you could be liable?
    I decide not too..
Yes ..I got POD lights..use for off road only...This is a great mod! Next is Cali raise, 32 inch bar lights...maybe next year? ..for off road use only..
Many times I will go Menpachi fishing for the night..driving out in middle of the night,on the lava trail roads..additional lighting will help in the few places where the roads seems to disappear..lol. This happens a lot too..
    Aloha,

Any LED or HID put into a halogen housing is illegal for on road use per NHTSA. That being said, the technology has come a long way. Do your research and combined with cars that come with LEDs/HIDs from the factory, you'll blend right in.

Many places also ban the use of light bars for on road use. In Michigan, for example, the laws pertain mostly to the old style KC lights, but can easily be applied to modern LED light bars. In short, don't have it on while driving on the road.
