New to posting, been lurking since buying the truck. This is a passionate group and I have gathered some super valuable info here so I am hoping I can add and help others..

I have offically gone down the "lift" rabbit hole for a couple months now and recently settled on a blend of two of Rough Country's offerings. 95% of my drinving is on road so in no way am I going for a off road crawler. Just looking to get a better stance without sacrificing too much ride quality. Also, its time for tires. I got 46000 miles out of the Toyo A30 Open Country tires that came on it. Out of the gate I was always underwhelmed with an all season highway tire on this truck. Here is what I am going to do:

Front: 2" strut kit from Rough Country with the assembled N3 coilover (labeled as their 2" strut leveling kit)

Rear: 2" blocks, Rough Country N3 shock with new shackles and hardware. (Basically their 3" lift kit minus the front spacers)

Wheels/Tires: Stock 17" TRD sport rims, BFG AT K02 265/70/17.

I have been muling over tire size and may stick with the stock size due to the complications of speedo inaccuracy and shift point differences(?). From the pics I see on the site, I know the 70 tire will fill out the fender well nicely.

I am hoping the result will give the truck a good look and nice ride. I am a marine surveyor and I end up towing short distances fairly frequently. The low position of the factory tow package has often created problems. I'll post some before and after pics and update with ride quality differences etc. The attached pics are what it currently looks like.

Picked up the truck yesterday afternoon. I tried to take similar pictures for those comparing.

In the end this is what she got:

Front: 3" strut kit from Rough Country with the assembled N3 coilover.

Rear: As planned; 2" blocks, Rough Country N3 shock with new shackles and hardware. (Basically their 3" lift kit minus the front spacers)

Wheels/Tires: Stock 17" TRD sport rims, BFG AT K02 265/70/17

So far I am very pleased. I will say it was a little shocking how much more aggressive it appears on outside but then again, that was one of the things I wanted to address without over doing it i.e: mini monster truck. I am very impressed with the ride so far, Buffalo NY has crappy, beat up roads that are in terrible shape nearly year round and the ride from the Rough Country components is noticeably better. I would categorize the ride as "more assured" with calmer response/rebound than the factory set up. Not at all more harsh, absolutely more comfortable. The tires are awesome and I expected that after reading though this site. They are much more quiet than what I expected looking at their tread. So far I would say they are contributing to a more confident feeling ride, No snow yet and I have a 600 mile trip planned for next weekend so I will update further.

Some Numbers: Measured with a full tank from ground to top edge of fender well. Original number listed first:

    Front Drivers: 34 1/4" to 37 1/2"
    Front Pass: 34 3/4" to 38 1/4"
    Rear Drivers: 35 1/2" to 38 1/4"
    Rear Pass: 35 1/2" to 38 1/2"

All in all, the truck is essentially leveled. My mechanic did say to expect the front to settle as much as an inch and that would be fine with me. We may have had a miscommunication about the 3" front assembled coilover he used instead of the 2" but I am with holding judgement as it may have been better in the long run. For reference the lift, including parts, alignment, labor and tax was a few pennies over $1,000. Tires were a little more than that..

    Hope this helps others.

    Looks great.
I also have a black '17 DCSB TRD Sport and I'm looking for around the same ride height. Any weight limitations on your set up?

Down the road I plan to add Warren front bumper and winch and HD rear bumper and some overlanding gear in/over the bed. Think this would hold up?

I am not sure if there is a weight limit as I did not ask, my mechanic, who is a Rough Country dealer did mention that there would be an added benefit of a couple hundred pounds of payload and trailer tongue weight due to the upgraded suspension but not a major gain in either. The RC web site did not mention any limits either but you may be able to give them a call and find out.

Just to see what would happen, earlier I went to work and hooked up to a boat; a 2020 Sea Ray 230 SLX on a tandem trailer. The boat itself weighs in at 5500 pounds and with the tandem axel trailer is probably over 6000 pounds somewhere. The truck went down just a pinch in the back, barely noticeable with the tongue weight. With the stock set up, it always squatted significantly so I gotta think this suspension set up is much beefy-er than stock. I did not go down the highway but around town and at 45-50mph, the truck is feeling much more confident towing than it did stock.

I will keep updating as I start testing it out more. Still very happy so far.

Since its been about a year and I have put about 20,000 miles on the truck since installing the Rough Country N3 lift and BFG tires, I thought I would post an update:

First, the truck drives awesome. Love the higher stance and handling characteristics, basically everything makes more sense after the lift. Driver position, blind spots and general feel are all now in line. (Is it just me or did previous generations just come like that?) Anyway, I am very pleased. Tires are impressive, for how aggressive they look, they are very quiet on the highway and grip is crazy. I just rotated them for a third time and the wear is very even. Not noticing any rubbing on the CV boots yet as some are seeing.

I did install the Rough Country Speedometer calibrator. Speedo was off 3-4mph at a 75mph cruise speed, that nearly got me in trouble a couple time. The calibration setting was like a factor of 1.34% so it was pretty far off. Money well spent and a very easy install.

A couple months after the install I had a bushing at the top of the rear shock start to crack and crumble. I was sort of surprised by that, anyway my shop ordered it from Rough Country replaced it for free so that was nice. Warranty is nice to have.

Found a DCSB with the pro grill, stock suspension and decided to (be a psycho and) take a side by side pic for comparison:
