Nice truck man! I was hoping to get a Barcelona Red Taco, but I couldn’t find a better deal on my MGM. Still love it but that red is just too clean. What’s your setup? Wheel, tires, suspension? Bolt PN’s?

Thanks dude I really appreciate it.
I’ve currently got SOS concepts front/rear bumpers and sliders,

ome 886s w/nitrochargers up front w/spc control arms

Rear Dakar med leafsprings with bamf shock relocate w/12in kings and Bamf HD shackle hanger.

Mickey Thompson Baja Classics with 285/75/17 Nexen Rodian AT. Cheap but decent tire

What size lift would those specs give you? Have you had any rubbing at that set up? What offset are on the wheels and do you think you can run 285/75’s comfortably? Sorry for all the questions, I’m looking into lift kits. I know they all very and not everyone runs the same setup. Just want to do it once and do it right instead of trial an error. Might be what it takes but trying to avoid it at all costs.

No worries dude if I can help you save some money learning from my headaches keep asking.
I’m about 2.5-3in up front and the same out back with the leaf springs.
With the 285/75/17 it’s basically a 34in tire I rubbed liked crazy @Texoma did a pretty aggressive cmc on mine I also had to flatten my pinch weld on the inner fender well along with my alignment specs to be 3.5-4 on caster. I don’t rub now but my wheels are 4.5backspacing with O offset. If I went 285/70/17 I wouldn’t have had to do as much.

I'm originally from South Africa, I called my mom yesterday, said it was 38C there

Yeah. About 40+ trucks on the lake I was on Saturday. I was not one of them. My comfort level for bringing my pavement princess out there is 20" min. Also did not catch anything, just found the bottom of some beer cans.

More fishing done than me. Enjoy it when you can.

Me and my son are headed to Padre Island Friday to Sunday. Big fronts like this one usually give us a "light" wind/warm temp window for surf fishing. But I'm jinxing myself by writing about it as it looks way too promising. Even a really nice tide. Going to be brutal (for us) at 36 and 15-20+mph winds Friday night...and we're camping. Rewarded Saturday/Sunday with highs in upper 60s though. I'll shut up now. Damn week is going to crawl.

    Have a good one.

    And sorry to the OP!

Do you think a -10 offset would make a different with the set up you’re running?
In terms of rubbing and such?

Don’t be sorry, this is a positive community thread. Love reading all the comments and stories!

I’ll be honest with you I’m not to informed about all the science behind wheel specs. I bought these used and the truck they were on had 35s so I knew they’d work I highly suggest doing some research. Sorry I can’t be more help on that.
