I might suggest getting a fender washer to help keep the bolt from pulling through. With such a nice setup I’d hate to see you loose it.

Finally got around to swapping out the shifter. Aesthetic goodness aside, it's way more comfortable. Now I just need to swap out the ugly pleather boots.

 

Installed my Redline Tuning - Max Lift hood struts yesterday. Hurt to drill holes in a new truck, but that pain went away when I saw the finished product. Those steel rivets really take a toll on your hands as well.

 

Are there other options for the boot?!? Link?

I first learned about Redline Goods on bimmerforums.com way back when and there was a lot of good feedback from its members. Barring a local upholstery shop (I've yet to shop around), I'll probably go with this vendor when I pull the trigger on custom boots for the shifter and the e-brake.

 

The earlier you start the sooner it gets done 602 miles in 2 weeks
