I meant to post a while back but picked this up a few weeks ago. It works great and perfect for someone like me that will probably never buy a fridge. DFG was great to work with and answered my questions quickly.

My requirements besides sliding the cooler in and out were that it would slide out 100%. I guess the slides are 100% but because of its construction it still leaves about 1” inside the bed. Not a big deal, I have to pop the cover a bit for the door to open and close.

I also needed it to work with my Bak2 Revolver cover and it does that beautifully. It leaves about 1/8” clearance which is fine with me. 7FFB53A0-3386-4B3D-A346-8C54A37D881E.jpg

How long did you have to wait for it?
Web site says 7-21 days to ship but I placed an order several weeks ago and I’m still waiting for a tracking number.

I ordered at the beginning of pandemic but it did take a while to get. I spoke with them on the phone and like everyone, they were short staffed and short of materials so it took a bit longer than normal. That's kind of the new normal and likely will remain that way for the next year or two.

Thanks for response, that is what I thought. It’s been 7 weeks since I placed the order and order is listed as “being processed”. I wouldn’t mind waiting if they gave a realistic shipping date but website still says product ships in 7-21 days. Hope it is worth the extra wait.

Looks great, how does it attaches to the truck bed?

    Thanks

Let me first say my install was a bit complicated by my bed stiffeners being right in the path of where I wanted my Yeti to slide out. Second thing I found was the pre drilled holes in the DFG frame did not line up with the ribs in the bed.
My solution was to buy 1” by 1/4” aluminum bar stock from local hardware store and cut 3 pieces to same width of the DFG slide. These were them matched drilled to the existing holes in the slide followed with a 5/16 drill bit to oversized the holes to provide some tolerance allowance in case my holes were not perfectly aligned. The bars are then bolted to the bottom of the slide with low profile button head screws, washers and nylon-lock nut as shown in first picture.

This gives me three lateral bars spanning multiple bed ribs with my choice of which top surface on the front-to-rear ribs in the bed to use for screwing to the bed. The nuts on the underside may still sit on top of a rib but this is not a problem as I need spacers to raise the slide high enough to clear the bed corner stiffener. Once I determined where I wanted to drill, I double checked under the bed to make sure my selected locations would be a clean through hole and my drill would not go into an underside stiffening web, brake line or anything else. Once hole locations are confirmed, these were transferred to the 3 bars and back to the drill press to add the second set of 5/16” holes shown in first picture.
At this point the slide can be placed in the bed and using holes in the bar to match drill holes in the bed.

In my case, I plan to install and remove the slide many times so I chose to install Riv-Nuts in the bed as an alternative to sheet metal screws. Picture showing Riv-Nuts installed.

Final step is to add spacers under the slide if you need more elevation. In my case I used 5/8” high spacers to clear the bed stiffeners, you may not need spacers or my need shorter ones if the nuts from first picture end up on top of a rib. See third picture.

Next picture from rear showing clearance to bed stiffeners. Note that it is not critical for the stationary bottom of the slide to clear the bed stiffeners as long as the sliding portion clears. So far I’ve been using this without the bed mat but eventually will cut holes in the bed mat for the spacers so I can sandwich the mat under the slide.

so far, three off road trips with lots of washboard and Rivnuts are holding strong. The slider gets removed about once per month to haul something large and then goes right back in to use at next Costco run. This is a game changer for camping, in more ways than one whether you are adding ice at a gas stop or grabbing a cold one or sliding it out just to reach something in front of the bed.
