Anyone make their own gym stuff? I need ideas for a pull-up and dip station. It needs to be free standing so I can move it around my garage.

Post up all other home made workout stuff.

I've been winging it since March.

Pull up station, I jog to a near by play ground and use whatever is there like monkey bars or play scape. Same for dips. I also use my city trash can and recycle can for dips and leg raises. Could also use two ladders side by side. Tricep dips I put my hands on my tailgate and feet in a ladder and dip, use whatever you have around the house for added weight in your lap. I have a 15lbs medicine ball. Can do a lot with wash / paint buckets with rocks or bricks in them. Resistance bands I hook to my tow hook for back and bicep workouts. A lot of push ups, burpees, lunges in the driveway. Use my girls yoga mat for abs.

Just google some stuff to do at home. My gym is open but still feel a little weird going back just yet.

@Tacospike youre definitely more resourceful than I am. I have a home cable gym, some dumbbells, plate weights with dumbbell bars and a curved bar. I do a fair amount with what I have. I’ve been tossing the idea around of mounting a pipe to the roof of my garage and hanging straps for rings from it. This seems like a better idea that building a power tower type deal. I also have plans to build a jump box.

I’ve been watching videos lately for calisthenics, I should do more of that as well.

Made the pulley tower on the back of my rack. Set up right now for pulldowns, was doing tricep last. Works for lats as well. Take about twenty seconds and change the cable to run through different pulleys and I can use it for seated cable row. If I drill another hole and make up a longer cable, I could also add cable curls, but don't see the need. Had to remove the rear braces on the rack, so this also acts as bracing. Made out of 2" tube 1.5" angle and some self adhesive delrin for slides on the traveling weight section.

    Edit because auto correct sucks

25 pound plate, 80 pound sand bag, 40 pound vest 20 pound medicine ball

Burpees, runs, pull ups, dips, sand bag work outs etc. I’m just about 39. I have numbers of me outperforming 20 year olds all day long. No one believe that I have a MCL/ACL injury at just about a year out.... and that I can still outrun them...full don joy brace. Functional. Pretty much all I do
