Hey guys knew to the tacoma formula I was wondering what gear ratio i have in my 1998 toyota tacoma

    Hey guys knew to the tacoma formula I was wondering what gear ratio i have in my 1998 toyota tacoma 2.7 manual 4×4 and on my door jam it had a question mark where the code should be, is this normal on some of these truck? in the process of swapping with a e locker rear end, was wondering if anyone also had a diagram to wiring the diff lock switch. thanks.

    Most 3rz are 3.91

    Check your vin label on driver door but they're not always correct.

    If it came with the factory aluminum wheels, more than likely it'll have 4.30 gear ratio

    As for the elock wiring, you'll need a DPDT switch or DPDT relay and use a factory RR switch, add an in-line fuse, the actuator pigtail to frame harness, lock light, lots of 18 gauge wire, wire looms, connectors, and more.

    Or spend $200 on a pre-fab harness

    do you by chance have a link to the correct wire harness i need? was trying to figure out how to upload a picture on the sticker on my door jam but not sure how yet, thought it sas weird it had a question mark beside it. ill check out your link to see if i can look it up by the vin. thanks for the replys
