While it helps you can only really cover one ear at a time at least with my fat head been there done that

As one contorts around welding things in place most others would take a day taking things apart to have better access

Does any one remember the erector sets ?

You could make all manor of interesting things late fifties early sixties .I think the smaller parts were seen as a Hazard can`t recall seeing them in stores as I got older.

Before Lincoln Logs in my case

As so many use the 2 as interchangeable I just don`t say much anymore you know the difference or not.

Just like the Woman who said once all those 30 round magazines are used up they will be gone.

Speaking of Lego’s, go out and buy some of the new Lego Mario. You have to download the app to get the instructions. The app wouldn’t work on my older iPad (it was too slow and kept crashing), had to download it on my new one. We spent 5 hours this past weekend building Lego, I had to say no Monday when he wanted to build more! It used to be we had to build strictly by the instructions. I finally convinced him DIY Lego is better, cause you can build the way you want to.

When my grandparents sold their camp on Schoodic lake back in the 90s us kids (4 of us) were allowed to go into a store of our choosing and buy something we couldn’t afford normally. I was very upset they sold the camp, but I was only 8, so they made up for it by buying me the #5 erector set, which was the biggest single kit you could get at the time. Should have bought Legos, cause the 8880 super car was way cooler.

Customer brought this in, I’m assuming off of a dump truck cause it’s large. The tapered hole is wallored out. I have to bore it out so the lathe man can make a tapered bushing for it.

Looks a little sketchy....nothing with your set up, but just repair in general. That's a area where it would be nice to know a little more...but then better off not knowing...have a great day everyone

Yeah I’m not a fan of working on steering components. The bushing is 4140 prehard, it’ll be pressed in and sammiched in so hopefully it’ll last a while without any troubles.

I kinda think so but in those days what they went back into was not as important as the neat stuff I could build

Then quite possible the original container was repurposed till I got the set.

As rumor has it copper wire was invented by the Sperm Donor and his sister fighting over a penny as told by Grand Dad the only one I liked .
