    Just ordered my first Tacoma a few weeks ago. I have been lusting after a taco for over a year now and been doing research/lurking here while I waited for my current lease agreement to expire. THE TIME HAS FINALLY COME!!! Just have to somehow make it through the next few months...

    I live in Michigan and have been leasing vehicles for the last 8 years and really missed owning a car that I could modify to my needs/wants. I am a professional firefighter/paramedic and avid outdoorsman. Not making it into work due to inclement weather is not an option for me, and I wanted something compact yet capable. I also heat my home with a wood burning stove and haul a fair amount of firewood, so I still needed a truck. I really missed driving a manual and wished that I could own a new truck but also have a manual trans. I can still remember the first time I saw a modified 3rd gen roll by me and I was truly captivated. I loved the size, aggressive off-road looks, and much to my delight it can be obtained with a MT! It is has been a long time since I felt this sort excitement towards a vehicle (which I'm sure I don't have to explain to anyone on this forum). I will be leaning hard on you gentlemen/ladies to learn about about this truck and sharing my progression in the process. Just wanted to formally introduce myself and join the TW family.
