So it seems that my subwoofer just stopped working right and now only works at 50% the limit it used to. Checked fuses (not the issue) and somebody recommended I check the voice coil in a previous thread. I’ve been debating about taking it to a car audio shop but don’t want to get screwed. I’m not an audio expert but I can tell when something doesn’t sound right. I know it’s not the audio source (bluetooth, radio, usb) but there just doesn’t seem to be getting as much power to the audio system as before. I’m debating about taking it to the dealership and seeing if they can check it out because I have absolutely no idea what it is. Has anybody ever had this issue? I have a 2017 taco limited with the jbl audio

also while checking if the sub is playing, make sure the speakers in the doors are playing. The door speakers handle alot of the bass and the sub just fills in.
