When I go shopping with the wife, first thing she says is "let's get it out of the way." Nowadays she seems to plan those trips when I'm working. :notsure:

Here are a couple Chevy pick ups that I slammed. The blue one had to have the inner fenders opened up and in the bed I had to make new wheel wells out of a pill bottle which I cut to fit and painted to match. Also had to raise the beds floor. The gold truck was easy to slam but I opted to go with a flat gold paint which picked up my finger prints on the doors from handling. Eventually I will fix that. I kept the straight 6s in both of them for something different.Dec 20 pics 091.jpg Dec 20 pics 092.jpg Dec 20 pics 095.jpg Dec 20 pics 100.jpg Dec 20 pics 101.jpg Dec 20 pics 104.jpg

Those are very cool, like the straight 6. Accurate portrayal. Impressive custom work, would never guessed.

I posted one of these over a year ago and been meaning to buy the other but just got around to it now. Both the same but one has a opening rear deck lid and the other doesn’t.

IMO the fingerprint adds to the coolness on the gold one. Leave it how it is. Would be unique feature even if entering it in a contest. It would get extra coolness and originality points from me. Kids or grandkids years or decades from now would dig it too I would think. Call it the "Golden Touch".........

No one can argue with me on who built it when I left my fingerprints on it. I could not believe it did that. I used the same paint on a 37 Ford I built and it did the same thing on that one. I liked the flat look of the color and did not clear coat them. There is no rush to redo it. Been like that for 10 years. When you go to paint these things you never know what is going to happen. I have been posting my screw ups as well so people can see what is involved. With kits going for $20-$30 a piece I have only been buying kits I really want unless I can pick them up cheap at the flea markets and yard sales. There is a Moebuis 65 Ford F100 short bed I am drooling over right now that I will undoubtedly buy soon.

dec 20 pics 073.jpg dec 20 pics 075.jpg Dec 20 pics 111.jpg Dec 20 pics 113.jpg Dec 20 pics 114.jpg Here are a few more. The 64 Galaxie 500 is my oldest build from the mid 70s. It was released in 1964 only and had working headlights and tail lights. A friend gave it to me when his dad was getting rid of stuff and i put it together. The Ford pick up is pretty old too from around 1980. The top was originally white but looks more tan now from age., The S10 is a promo that I picked up last year and added some detailing too.

Walked in Walmart a few minutes ago and they had just stocked the Hot Wheels bins. Lucked out and picked up 3 green 64 Nova Gasser wagons and a Big Air Belair. There were a lot more but I am not a troll who cleans out the displays. Saved a few for hopefully someone else. Thinking about customizing more of these Hot Wheels. I have a bunch in the garage. Plan to hit the yard sales and swap meets this spring after I get my shots looking for parts cars. Also trying to find out where you can get Real Wheels for them. I have seen some websites but not what I am looking for.
Williams 63 do you have any suggestions?
