My mailman takes incompetence to the nth level. Regularly get other peoples' mail. He once forged my sig on a registered letter that should've come to the door & put it in my mailbox. And the prick puts an xmas card in my mailbox.

One of the reasons I left the Bronx some years ago. Glad you're physically OK. My old man always said "driving's a full-time job." See a lot of folks on the road who couldn't drive properly if they devoted 100% of their scarce resources to the task. Too many idiots driving with their heads up their asses; distracted or drunk.

So I was at Costco last getting gas, when a big truck pulled up on the other side of the pump I was using. It was at least a 250/2500, with a big lift. I appreciate most trucks, so I looked over to check it out.

It had giant rims, with MTs and tiny sidewalls. Not quite as egregious as this, but similar.

I am all for "It's their truck, they can do whatever they want" but I couldn't help judging them a little...

I cannot urge everyone enough to get a cam. I have them in everything we own. Super quick to install and all wires are easily hidden.

How hard are they to wire if you have little to no wiring experience?

I have to laugh when I see "those" trucks. Super stupid looking IMO, not to mention not functional or even remotely practical. Such a waste of money. Same with the cars with the super high camber on the wheels. Who the hell came up with that and thought it was a good idea?

Super easy. On my Tacoma I tucked cable under edge of headliner, removed A pillar trim ran to fuse box and used a add a circuit tap into radio power fuse. Minivan tapped into hot when on wire that fed overhead console. Same on my third vehicle. YouTube has a video for just about anything you might be driving. Do it.
My cams also have a second lense that points rearward.

+1 for the dashcam. A cheap enough insurance policy you hopefully never need to use.

On second thought, I guess the same can be said for my truck lifted on 33's since I never go off-road it's not functional or practical but..... I like the look. I guess to each their own but still tall trucks on low profile MT's with 24" wheels makes no sense to me.

Here's a battery powered dash cam that I got for my gal. Easy 10 minute install works fine! She was able to get clear video and extract stills for the police after a creep hassled her and tried to follower her home...had it for about a year & 1/2 no issues and you do not have to run a 'hard wire.'

Yes, it comes w/a cord that can plug into a standard USB and a cigarette-lighter plug that the USB can plug into. Takes about 1n hour to charge it's a small lithium battery, she gets about a week-10 days with it...has an hour one-way commute w/91-to 95 or Merit Pkwy traffic. She actually brings it into the house when the 'low battery" light goes on and we have a 'charging station' in the kitchen and she plugs it in and in the AM it's good to go and real easy to attach.

Ok, so not wanting to give bogus information!!! She told me the battery really only lasts about 5-10 minutes, however she has it programmed for "impacts (G-force) activity & parking mode" I read the spec sheet and it really should be plugged in or "hard wired" for continuous loop if you want keep it on all the time.

Sheesh, my apologies for speaking before I had all the facts :annoyed:

    Whoot!
Day started pretty sucky. Got my sh*t together for an 8:15 weekly meeting. Turns out it isn't happening this week. That sucked, I'm not a morning person.

but I'm off Friday from the night job, so asked for Friday off from the day job & got an immediate yes. :)
Left day job early & stopped at @Cativelense 's Firestone. Got an appt for Friday to get the Tundra aligned finally. (tie rod ends)
pushed my luck, but tried to get a Dr. appt for Friday & they had my preference + :20 available.
Got out of night job early, came home to find my stimulus check in the mail box. Guess I'll stop in to the mechanic Friday & see when he can do the Tacoma oil pan for me.

    Day turned around nicely.

Little early but - Happy Thursday everyone (Friday #1 for me!).
