This and that...

Tires recommend 8in wide as the maximum. Are you able to go to 8.5-9in wheel with negative offset, past the recommended maximum? Most aftermarket wheels are in the 9in range. Thanks!

Offset has nothing to do with rim width when it comes to fitting tires to the rim.

You should edit your title to say "widest wheel". Seems like you should probably follow the manufactures recommendations. If it says 8" is the widest wheel you should use......
