gen3 tacoma sr5 wheel recommendation

Hey I am new to tacomaworld but not to tacoma trucks
My son has a 2019 sr5 4x4 tacoma and is looking to upgrade its tires/wheels
plan is to add a 3" ready lift
It is really difficult to find out if this tire wheel combo will have major rubbing issues
nitto ridge grabber 285/70/17
fuel 17x9 -12mm offset
Have heard some say no rubbing , others say -12 offset will always have rubbing
Looking for opinions and or pictures.
This combo will give the look desired but maybe not worth it in the long run?
Can anyone recommend another wheel setting that would offer a better result ( no rubbing etc)
