I already downloaded and "flashed my ecu" with the 93 octane and my truck felt the exact same and didnt redline any higher. I checked every value and they are all the same as regular . What do I need to do.

    Hi Matthew, welcome to TW!
Perhaps you could fill in some more details because there is not one Tacoma I have not updated where the driver was not able to CLEARLY feel the difference between stock vs OVTune. Is your 2019 an Auto? What values are you referring to that you checked 'that are the same as regular'?

I don't understand that you flashed with 93 octane. That goes in your tank. LoL!

Hopefully, you updated to 04B33 and requested that tune pack?

Being an SR5, you're an AT. So, did you flash something like 2.0 Base with the 04B33_Prem_Stock.vft file?

Is this what everyone else's tune pack looks like? I think these are the tunes that come with VF not the tune pack even though I was told these are the pre-made tunes. All of their values for Ignition timing and everything else are the same which would make me believe that these are tunes for me to mess with even though thats not what I paid for. I emailed OVTune asking if they are sure that I got the right tune pack and they said yes so Im just a little confused.

Lol I was using my phone to type some stuff up really quick. Anyways I tuned my truck with the 93 Octane tune hoping for some big power and everything felt the same. I checked the values for ignition timing and everything in the 93 octane tune and they were all the same as the base tune for the truck. My other post in this thread goes into it more.

Make sure that the tune is actually flashing. The difference between successfully and unsuccessfully is so subtle at the bottom.

That is the 04B31 Tune Pack. All of those are Full vF Tunes, not Stock maps to play with. The Stock map is in the vF installer folder.

Note that not all maps that exist in the ECU are in vF Tuner to view.

Also note that the Prem tune (not a '93 tune') is just the starting ignition set point. All 2.0 Tunes are Octane Learning.

Yeah but the values for the 93 Octane tune and Base tune are the exact same, so there shouldnt be a difference. Either way I'm gonna do what you said bc I want this figured out. :/

I think you are referencing back to the 1.05 tunes? There was a Perf tune and they were built for certain octanes.

The 2.0 Final options are not released yet. The Perf and Tow tunes, Tune Switching, and GearLock options are coming.

That tune is a carrot dangling from a string.

Either flash and be happy, dig into the editing fun, or sit tight for the Final options? Most folks seem very content with these pre-made, Full tunes. Some folks have had great success editing. @OVTune will drop the excellent options when he's ready.

7,250 on the MTs. I think it is the same on the ATs?

You can also freely edit it in the vF software.

I have an AT, a local just flashed it over the weekend for me. Just want to make sure it's correct.

That would be one way to tell. But, you should notice the extra engine torque, esp down low at part throttle.

@PapaRee . The AT redline is at 7,250 in the 2.0 Base tunes, right?
