I've used a large (not commercial large, but large for home) front loader to dry and fluff my North Face down bag and it fluffed even higher that it ever was new! Surprised the crap out of me. I kept reorienting it in the drum though, so that might have helped. That dryer died, and the one we have on loan from our daughter is smaller. I wouldn't try it with this little one. Conversely, I wouldn't dare to go to a laundry mat right now until this COVID thing is managed better.

I know hydration is key. But any recommendations on supplements or chews when you’re already starting to cramp?

Picked up a Wall Tent just after Christmas along with a Kni-Co Alaskan Stove. Did the initial burn today while doing some tree work. Let it burn hot for about 5 hours. Used some oak and maple that's been under cover for 2 years. Burned great.

Picked up this to use along with the Wall Tent for extended trips. My first "expensive" cooler. Reviews are positive and price point is reasonable. I really like the buckle style latch system.

There's plenty of great tips on cleaning down sleeping bags here. The big benefit of doing a washing machine clean is that you'll find the bag is a lot warmer afterwards. You'll be able to clean off some of the grit/grease that builds up on the down. After a proper drying your bag will have more loft.

With 2L of water and 5 days of food it was about 34 pounds. It was a 9 day trip but we hiked out to refuel halfway through.

Like your load out list. Couple of questons. What frame did you use with the Hoodlum? How did the pack carry? What kind of temps did you see at night and how did the Hyper Cat work out? And....How was your hunt?

I have the duplex lite, the pack carried really well. We got one raghorn and made two trips to pack it out, about 70lbs in the pack each time. It is very adjustable so you can change how the weight sits in the pack as well as on your back. It's a pricey set up but well worth, buy once cry once. When you have a pack on for 12+ hours a day you don't want a crappy one. The hyper cat did the job, temps got to about 30 at night and it kept me warm.

Not really camping gear but backpackable. I'm thinking about selling my kokopelli packraft. I have the original style with the floor twain 2 person with a T-Zip in the back and two carbon aqua bound paddles. I have no idea what to price the thing at. Any ideas?

We have paddle boards now so I never use it anymore

My wife and I are looking to replace our old 4 person (really a 2 person) ground tent. We want something with a bit more floor space, more headroom and easier/faster to setup. So far these Gazelle tents are top of our list. My only concern is the height on these tents - are they more susceptible to wind? I've recently been out camping in windy conditions and am worried we may run into issues with a taller tent? Any input is appreciated if you've had any windy conditions.

I've not yet used it. But I've seen some videos (youtube) that showed the side hub being pushed in by strong winds. This was with no guy line/tie out attached. I'd certainly attach a line to each side to prevent this. With each side secured with guy lines, I wouldn't expect any issues with wind. My previous 4 person tent was tall/boxy and when properly secured, I didn't have any issues with wind. Maine is heavily forested, so I'm generally not out in the wide open and have some protection from trees.

Thanks for the tip on those youtube vids. Looking like this tent may not be what is best for us. I'll keep it on the list of options for now but there are a few factors that are iffy for how I plan to use it.
