Loaded 4x4 Double, fresh off the lot. Advanced electronics and advanced off-road package. No mids of my own yet. Opted for the TRD skidplate instead of the shir rails they were offering.
    Howdy!

Trying to decide where to take the kids to play in the snow.

I was planning on taking the kids up the hill towards Ice House
Reservoir today Sunday. It's been quite a while since I've been
up that side and I know there were some hwy 50 construction
going on prior to the holidays.
    • Anyone know what the snow situation is like?
    • Should we drive up 80 instead?
    • Any snow play spot recommendations, sledding?

A bit late - but maybe it will be helpful...
Our last snowstorm turned into rain... There is Snow on the ground, but the nice weather is doing a number on it... But snow can be found - depending on what you are looking to do. Should be able to do some sledding / skiing, depending on location.

I went down 50 this past weekend and saw no delays (noticed little construction). Both 50 and 80 seem prettly clear.

There are a few sledding areas, but I cannot comment on how they are doing at this time...

Im trying to get the wife to commit to taking the kids up on monday. I havent looked at the weather at all. Just hoping ot find a simple not crowded place for them to run around in the snow. They are young, so its not like they need sledding or anything yet.
