Sorry boys, I was hoping to join the pitchfork gang, but install was about 20 mins, didn’t bend anything, correct parts, finished product looks good.

I feel for those who’ve had issues, and based on her treatment of those with problems I can’t say I’d order anything else from her.

@MESO she definitely is not.

 

Day 3 of no response regarding warranty request. The wait continues.

 

Just sent my back for a refund since the handle had a few gouges. Didn’t want to deal with an exchange. Will be fun to see how long it takes to process a refund. Hope she doesn’t try to charge a restocking fee...

 

What was her response time from your initial warranty email?

 

I got a response from Josh around 2 days after I initially emailed.

I just responded to the shipping email I received when they sent the tracking info.

 

Mine’s fine too. There are teeny pitting spots or small odd coloring veins here or there —- very minor. The covers are the weak bit, with the lower one having a slight underbite, but it’s nothing that can’t be solved with a dab of glue in the crack. My bolts went in at an odd angle but I just rolled the whole assembly toward the door and tightened it; everything basically pulled into position.

It feels very sturdy and that’s what I wanted.

I’m still pitchforky that it took 5+ weeks to ship the things to us OGs, and my mom and Tacomabreast got one before I did, but whatever.

Installer fail. Removing the tweeter grill makes seating it correctly super simple.

Edit: Okay, I think I got it this time. You know, come to think of it, I got the trim right in those slots on the first dry-fitting test but managed to botch it when it came to the final attempt the other night.

It looks better now but still has the underbite on the bottom cover.

 

That’s why I pointed it out (I guess I forgot to quote post). And I found it 50/50 w/and w/out tweeter. Only because you won’t know it’s fully seated until you pop the tweeter/vent trim back in. It is easier to see the slots the tabs need to go in though

 

I knew USPS couldn't do it twice (initial grab handle arrived 2 days early - although it went to a neighbor one street over...).

 

Sent a reminder email to a different email of hers to check her warranty email account.

Must be nice to have a real job that keeps you so busy you cant even take 2mins to respond to an email.

 

HOLY $HIT! She has finally (actually) sent it out. Now just to wait on our 'amazing' USPS.......

 

Good luck, USPS has no clue what's going on... my package that just this morning said it was arriving late and did not have any update past leaving Oregon has now been shown as delivered an hour ago. They also finally delivered my calendar that's been sitting in the "pending acceptance" status since 1/11. And I have a bed mat ready for pickup at the local stealership. That replacement grab handle better be in great shape and not ruin my awesome Friday!

 

So...anyone else having less-than-satisfactory lower cover fitment? I trimmed the little ridge next to the plug since it had a nub on it, but it didn’t make a difference. The slippery plastic resists a lot of thinner double stick tapes. I don’t want to glue it together, obviously, but I’d like the little edge to not catch on my hand or handcuff when I’m using the grab handle. Ideas?

Yeah, it does, it just juts out. I’ve added one more pic to show it. “Overbite.”
