Bench to bucket seats

Hey guys Just wondering if anyone that has 2nd gen bucket seats (preferably TRD seats) that would want to trade for the bench out of my 2011 base. I know it's a stretch for some but few and far between prefer the bench. Just wondering if anyone knows anyone or who personally wants them. I tried my local junkyard and unfortunately they cant sell them in New York due to them having airbags according to the person I spoke to. I'm willing to ship unless they are not to far (4 hours and below) we could meet up and trade right then and there.

 

I have a base model 08 tacoma SR5 bucket seats. I've been looking for a bench seat. Would the 2011 Base model seat fit in my 08?

also just saw that they have airbags. My bucket seats do not have airbags. Also wondering how that would affect my installation if we did trade. Hope you're well!

 

So from what I've read the only issue would be for me having to try and connect non airbag seats to the main harness for my truck. That can be fixed with a 3.3k ohm resistor in the main harness for the airbag harness. As for your 2008 all you would need to do is keep them unplugged. If I'm not mistaken and correct me if I'm wrong I believe that the airbags in the bench have their own separate connection I can check later and get back to you. So you can just leave it unplugged. I know that the 2nd gen had all the same holes punched out for any combination of seat that was offered and its just covered by putty from the factory. So you would have to just remove the putty and make sure you don't cross thread . Unless you like your bolts sitting a little crooked lol. We would also have to trade the weight sensor and a couple little things that could be shipped at a later time honestly. Also JakeyRue where are you located ? I would rather not have to drive a ton if I don't have to. Also any pictures ? Texting or Facebook messenger works better if that's something your more comfortable with.
