As cool looking as it is, all I can think when I see this is that there is NO WAY my back and knees would let me in that.

    Let alone out again.

I remember all the cars I had in Japan had the fender mounted mirrors like those are. You didn't have to take your eyes off the road as much to look at them. :)

Yep, always bugged me to see a 240Z from Japan with those fender mounted mirrors. Another one of my beloved cars that got away, a 1972 240Z. I had the motor balanced and blueprinted, with .30 over bore and an Isky race cam and ported and polished. I scored a set of dual down draft Webber carbs and a Hooker 6 into 2 header system, dual exhaust which I ran out the back in the stock single exit area but the two tailpipes were stacked coming out the back. Added dual cherry bomb mufflers, talk about loud and fast. I was beating stock 5.0 Mustangs in the 1/8th mile. Basically stop light to stop light. Funny thing to do back in the early 80’s when the 5.0 Mustangs first came out and thought they ruled the streets. :)

That car was stolen from me in San Diego. When it was found the front end was smashed in and upon stealing the brand new Centerline wheels with BFG’s 50 series tires they didn’t use blocks. Rather, they chose to just drop the car to the pavement after taking the wheels off. The rotors were damaged as was the front suspension and steering from the crash. I ended up paying the towing / impound fees and got the car back. I only had liability insurance so I was out of luck there. Depressed on what happened and the hassle I went through to get the high performance motor smogged in California coming from Colorado, I ended up pulling the motor and selling the body and motor separately. Lost my ass on that car. Definitely one of my funnest vehicles I’ve ever owned though.

Edit: I forgot to me that the dumb ass scumbag thieves didn’t even touch the newly built race motor.

In '94 I had this 87 4cyl 5spd with double ranchos shocks on each corner. Bed rotted out and had it replaced with open wood bed. Truck was a blast especially in deep snow.

All My Cars '87 & '02 Toyota Pickups0003.jpg In 2002 sold the 87 and bought this 2002 Trd OR, v6 auto with 700 miles on it. Great truck, unstoppable in deep snow but time to go in 2019 for new Tacoma Trd OR dclb. Very satisfied.

I had a 1971 CUDA in B5 blue as well. Not a convertible though. I have to get to digging through some old boxes of photos soon. Upon further inspection that shade is a bit darker than B5. Maybe another factory color or they got the mix wrong.

I still like the two scoop hood rather than the shaker, even though the shaker was a step up option. Mine had the two scoop hood.
