    I bought 9drive from eBay 55after tax.
    Function is like pedal commander

I drive about 500miles and did couple test.

    Truck setup
2018 Tacoma sport 4x4 low miles(15k) (I hate throttle responses)
    265/70/17 wildpeak
    Trd air intake.
    DV8 hybrid bumper

After I installed Trd Intake it give truck much better throttle responses, it make me drive lot more.

My home to office is about 40 miles, normally I’m getting 20 to 20.8 mpg

I did low driving speed and change modes and it worked. (its not recommends at higher speed)

I also did unplug the controller, the truck can still run without the controller with wiring. And I unplug the controller will driving low speed, truck still drivable. (This test base on pedal commander RPM problem)

    Test 1 with Trd intake

    Eco (mode) 1-9
Mode 1 is ok with throttle responses not delay, no power till floor it. I’m getting 21.5 mpg for the trip.
(2-9) is unusable, too much shifting

    P1 (sport mode)
Mode 1, I’m getting 19 mpg for the trip.
It make truck feel much quicker, easy get up to 80mph.

P2 (race mode) its faster than p1 but too much shifting Unstable.

P3 (racing mode) instead power at higher RPM. Not good for street driving.

Test 2 without Trd intake short test for throttle responses

Eco mode is unusable super slow throttle response.

P1 mode drive like Trd intake installed, quick throttle response. Not as quick as Trd intake.

P2 mode is a quick and faster

    P3 mode almost like P2

@tedusmc1345 I bought the same one a few weeks ago. I love it so far!! it wowed me the first drive I did.

It has proven to be very helpful in my truck. I have a 2.7 5 spped with a lift and added weight, and it made the truck faster and much more responsive.

I'm running it on 1.7 mode and it is plenty.

That’s nice, it definitely help the throttle response.
For the price is while worth it compared to pedal commander (250bucks).

How is your mpg after the 9drive?

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
Normally, tagging or quoting someone will help you get a response, especially in a thread that's been dead almost 4 years. This time, I doubt it will help as only 1 of the previous posters has been seen since 2022.

Otherwise, welcome to the board. Look around, there is a lot to learn.

For your question: I have no idea, I don't believe in Pedal Commanders and the like and have never used one. They are a BandAid that doesn't fix anything. I would suggest unplugging it and resetting the codes it threw and see if the problem goes away. If it clears, try it again. Maybe it was a fluke, maybe not. Good luck.

Some bad connection in the 9 Drive wiring or connector pins? If your gas pedal is unplugged it would give the same symptoms.
