#AdamFab ? Oh cool. I like epic a lot! I especially like safe and fire free, and Randall's fireless record is questionable at best. Build threads are educational in more ways than one.

So I’m waiting on new rear shocks from accutune and was given a quoted lead time of 10 weeks. It’s been 13 so I reached out to them. Going to be another 8 weeks. Not a big deal since it’s not like I’m in a time crunch, and they’re at kings mercy due to covid, but still a bummer. I can’t wait to get them installed.

I'm hoping not. But yep I've been hearing things all over the spectrum for lead times. Stupid Cali

Yeah. It’s a bummer but it is what it is. I just really want to know how much of a difference this custom tune will make. I’m on track for waiting 21 weeks from date of order, but am realistically expecting 25-26 weeks. Let’s just make it an even 6 months of waiting.

    :annoyed:
Yeah I'm looking at getting some 16s and changing the tune up just a bit. I need a little more stiffness in the bump and could use a little less in the droop. But that's with a front suspension that is way under preforming. I'll use that as my baseline and then once the front gets done and is preforming better I'll really dig into tuning. Also gonna be throwing some air bumps in the rear.

Why'd you order new kings instead of just getting some cheapy billies and then sending those off for a tune?

This explains it best. Basically it was a wash between buying new ones and selling my old ones, or mailing in my existing ones for a rebuild. I went this way because I get brand new shocks, get to hook up someone else with king shocks for cheap, and I’m not in any rush.

They already have a buyer, @BamaTaco56. He’s already set up to rebuild kings so it makes sense for him to snag them. He can be all in for like $250 for a pair of rebuilt smoothies.

Got the green light to buy these beadlocks for sale locally. 4 wheels and tires, only 1000 miles on the combo, for $2k. Screaming deal. I’m going to remove the tires and sell them for $700 to offset the cost and come out with some “cheap” beadlocks.
