What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Have to agree with step 6. By the look of your picture, it’s touching or very close. That was my problem. Cost me $600 at the dealership to fix it. The edge of the tray worn through the wires shorting out the brake system. Was fun driving 60 miles with no brakes and using the emergency brake.

I did bend the bracket up so it was not touching and confirmed. How much space do you recommend?

As much as possible. Road vibrations make it move up an down. I would say an inch at least. The further away from that harness, the better. There was an older post on here where someone cut some of the corner off. Someone else put a piece of rubber hose over the wiring. If you could put some type of rubber bumper on the plate and a little bit under it for protection, I say go for it.

Exactly. I was lucky, I was at work and was able to get right to the dealer and have it back by 4pm that day.

Took advantage of the balmy weather we had in the NE today and cleaned up my CB & Ham Radio wiring to my switch pro and then washed and waxed the truck. It needed it VERY bad.

Got my wheels and tires on today

 

Another one... heading back to Colorado this weekend and then road tripping for two weeks back to the PNW before I leave for AK. Rear seat delete and basic gear platform, which can lift to access storage underneath. Used 3/4in plywood so it’s sturdy. Cut it super tight, 55in x 24in. Perfect fit, might shape it a bit more later, right now both doors have to be open for the deck to hinge up all the way without scuffing the door panel. Might add some tie downs and maybe bedline or carpet it? Just playing with the idea for now!

I built a platform for my lab in my AC. I used some laminate flooring underlay and then covered in vinyl.
Then installed 2x colapsable brackets for stability.

 

Nicely done.
