Thanks. She lived to 16, so she had a good run. She never complained a bit, not even at the end. I just couldn't bear to see her laying there and unable to move much at all, anymore.

    Hug 'em while they're here.

 Love me a Ti hardtail!!!

I have a Reba 120mm on mine and I'm actually trying to get rid of it. At least for me, it is too much of a wet noodle. I swear I get more travel in the front/back direction due to flex then up/down! I'm looking to upgrade to a Pike or Fox 34 on mine.

This reminds me, I forget who was asking about Teravail, but I've gotten a few rides on my Honcho/Ehline combo. Very happy with them for an XC/light trail bike. Even had pretty good grip on the snow and ice I rode last weekend.

That was me. Thanks for the feedback.

On an unrelated note, and often debated topic; I am a loud hub guy.

BUT after cleaning and re-lubing the freehub from my old rear wheel when I moved it to the new rear wheel, its damn near silent. While at first I was pretty miffed, it’s kinda refreshing riding in silence. Although I won’t be upset when my killer beezzz return.

Oh yea, and to the guy from handup that recommended their wool socks, I salute you
I took an untimely...dismount fall at an off camber creek crossing today. My feet stayed nice and toasty despite the wet sock/shoe situation. Temps were only in the low 50* so it coulda been worse, but all said I really like those socks.

Just picked up a pair of their AT pants, LOVE em. Super comfy, perfect fit.

Took the day off today and went for a “goal ride.” There’s a trail system up here that’s damn steep, damn hard, and damn fun. 3,330 ft in 11 miles, three climbs, and the climbs are BRUTAL. For the UT boys, imagine puke hill, but steeper, looser, and 3 times as long and you have to do it 3 times. One of the best rides I’ve done in a long time.
*Probably wasn't the best day to try out the Double Down Max Grip Assegai front and rear....

Yo, I picked up a pair of organic sram brake pads at the dealer. $58 for 2 pair.

I’ve got some sintered Nukeproofs otw for like $54 for 4 pair. SRAM needs to get off their high horse.

I bled my front Codes last night, much better. Probably bleed rears this weekend after getting more fluid.

Haha. I ran in the LBS this AM before my ride. Rear brake bleed and rear mech adjustment for $0. As much as I appreciate the hook up I don’t like being a freeloader. So I bought the wife a bigger water bottle for her Peleton rides.

Swung back through on the way home and slid a sixer of some local brew through the side door. Some rando customers just stared.

Nice shop, not just no charge but immediate service. I miss those days. Few shops these days will do that. The one I go to close buy will do that for me on occasion but it’s way more rare then years past. A six pack of brew is appreciated. It’s been a awhile since I’ve done that. I think they’re not happy because I’ve never bought a bike there and parts I mainly get online these days. Quick emergency purchases or fixes I go there.

Edit: And I think I really pissed them off when I showed up recently with a high end bike I bought from the manufacturer. I had a crash early on after purchase and had to have them fix a brake pod malfunction. I saw the look on their faces [two partners in the shop] when they saw what I had bought. No comment, a quick fix and I was out. It’s been several months but thanks for reminding me, I need to get back to basics and return there with a six pack just for that fix. :)

I get treated very well there. But I also treat them well. I do my own basic maintenance on my bikes, but predominantly have them do all my builds and any job I don’t have the tools for. That and I have purchase several bikes/frames from them.

It’s a good deal for us both I think. If they’re really slammed with customers or I need a full build I drop off/wait. Otherwise they drop what they’re doing to take care of whatever I need.

    I edited my above post.

I totally get it. I was like that with a shop in San Diego but since moving back to Colorado and the times we are in, my bike shop needs have dwindled. I go for some mechanical fixes or installs but mostly emergency buys. It’s nice to have a good report with one or more shops though.
