Both are good kits. Can’t go wrong with either. I just wasn’t a fan of wilwood as a company after using them on a ram 3500 but that is a different kit than the taco one

    Fyi..

Wilwood: made in the USA but components may come from elsewhere, assuming China if they don't machine them in-house.

Stoptech: formerly produced in China, but production has moved to Mexico.

Same. If you want close to made in the US, I'd shoot for Wilwood then. My assumption is that parts may be acquired overseas but they advertised made here in the good ol US of A. If you use stoptech, they were bought out by Centric and that's mainly known for budget parts.. by the way QC is better in Mexico than China so the reason for the manufacturing move

Hey fellas. Quick question... what HD clutches are you running?
I have Excedy. Soft on the peddle which is always nice but when towing or carrying heavy loads I feel she slips as I take off. Smell of clutch burn too.

2.8" SF Pulley arrived today and the next acquisition is an HP Tuner, before I start my project.

This may be good information to have. The 2nd gen with Supercharger is WAY better at towing a 5x8' cargo trailer than my 1st gen NA. It was a little slower accelerating, but I didn't feel the trailer back there, unlike the 1st gen, which struggled and shook and bounced.

It’s crazy what a cracked header can mess up for AFRs among other things. Why they stopped welding outside the flange is beyond me

    JBAs lasted 7 years ;)

If I recall aren't the JBAs a thinner gauge than the Thorleys or URD

I am blind :D Those are the long tubes correct? I am sure my shorties aren't long for this world especially the side that does not have the transmission bracket installed.

Nope. Trust me, I had both. The gauge isn’t different. Thorley just use to weld outside the flange but now all the company’s go inside. Cheaper to weld inside. Only one now to weld outside is urd equal length for our trucks. Sad truth...
