Just got my bds 6” lift installed yesterday. I cranked the fox coil overs to 8” and I have ome Dakar’s HD leaf packs in the rear with a 3” block. I noticed axle wrap vibes when accelerating from stop. Who should I take it to figure out the remedy to the vibe?
    Install took place at mauioffroad

less lift will solve all your issues. Problem is probably with carrier bearing. Maybe a carrier bearing drop will help

Already have the spacer that came with the kit installed but might have to reduce the size. Thanks

idk how you know if it’s axle wrap vs driveline vibe but either way, I am sure the blocks are helping angles of either

imo the shop that did the install should be helping to resolve the issue

Driveline vibes are a symptom of axle wrap. But yeah it’s the angles being off.

I’ll probably talk to the installers about it

BDS- (Better Design System). Very popular, own by Fox Corp...
No hassle warranty- lifetime on all parts...
Plus it should not void Dealer warranty’s..if happens to you ,contact BDS...double check there web site?
And all the computer sensors , should not be affected by the lift...
    ——
Just be aware...those knuckles do break ( warranty for life)...
One owner had his break two times, and another one time, both nearly crashing there Tacoma’s..Big Island,
—- BDS...has a great reputation and one of the best warranty’s..just be carefully
    Aloha,

Drive shaft angles..most common reason for drive shafts virbrations. ..Search for custom built drive shaft..they may have a solution? Even for high angles..( double universal joints) or universal joint design for extreme angles..

    Aloha
Search (custom drive shaft 4x4) ..lots of companies...

You’ve maxed out every single parameter, of course it’s going to ride like shit. Ditch the block and crank the coil overs down.

Vibrations ARE part of ride quality. You’ve got a drop bracket lift stacked with a coil over lift in the front. The rear has lift springs stacked with a lift block. You’re going to have a really hard time smoothing that out. Don’t believe me? That’s fine. Good luck to you sir!

Many designs/ set ups for axle wrap...creates instant movement..
The one I like is the Hellwig 2002 traction control..approx $66.00..
    EASY.. to install..10 minutes maybe..
I had them on my Ford Ranger 4x4, my Exterra, and Dodge Ram....you will notice a faster start...
And helps with heavier loads too..has a nice red color...
this is for added traction..meaning less axle wrap...and is mounted on top side of spring..will not effect ground clearance...none..
    Aloha

Driveline vibes and axle wrap are 2 different things from different issues. If its driveline vibes then playing with different shims to get the right angle at the pinion is key. I've had to use up to a 8 degree shim plus the angle of the lift blocks to compensate for lift on 1 of my other tacomas. Shouldn't have axle wrap if you already upgraded to HD springs but anytime you add blocks it increases the leverage to induce axle wrap. A custom driveshaft shouldn't be needed but is a good way to get rid of the carrier bearing for less angle at the Ujoints. Powertrain Hawaii in Waipahu has built a couple custom driveshafts for me back in the day, not sure if they are still doing it but I'd have to assume so.

In my case it’s axle wrap that causes momentary driveline vibrations around 8mph during acceleration from stop, and again when slowing down when the transmission automatically down shifts to assist me braking.

I’m going to play with the carrier bearing spacer height and if anything I will look into a custom shaft from the above mentioned shop.
I appreciate the info and help.

Even with a 1 piece driveshaft the angles are going to be extreme with lift springs and a big block in the rear.
