    WARNING -- noob questions ahead...

I have a 2009 Tacoma TRD Off Road, that I will be using more now that I have more time (divorced and semi-retired now). I plan to carry a bit of weight in the back as I plan to camp out of it. I am buying Bilstein 6112 front and 5160 rear to replace my aging originals. Currently driving with 265/75R16s (31.8" ?) with the stock suspension and wheels with no issues, which is an upsizing of the original 265/70R16 that were on it when new. My truck has had the leveling issue since new, where the front is about 2" lower than the back, as measured with a tape from ground to the wheel well top / fender edge, plumb over the wheel center, for both front and back.

I would like to drive on 285/75R16 (32.8" ?) to add more clearance, since I will be driving remote dirt roads here in Canada.

So wondering if I could kindly ask for advice on:

    a) How much lift do I need in the front for the 285s ? The 6112s say they max out at 2.5" lift. Will 2" be enough and not need any cab mount trimming/welding ? or do I need to go to the 2.5" max ?

    b) Do I need to change/improve my rear leaf springs for the added weight ? Seems that if I put a new leaf spring pack (ARB Dakkar) it will add 2+ inches of lift, which would then again un-level the truck, raising the back compared to the front ? should I even care about this ? seems a big deal is made of "leveling kits".

    all wisdom appreciated !
