Hey guys, im looking for help from anyone who has changed out the factory head unit for an aftermarket one with apple Carplay.

I changed my 2021 stock head-unit, speakers, added an amp and sub. Everything works great, Music sound quality is amazing, love it....EXCEPT voice calls and Siri...Voice calls make anyone who I'm talking to sound "tinny" like they have a high octave overlay on their voice, like its about the break up, bad quality...and Siri's voice is doing the same thing! Her voice reading text messages for example is terrible...same tinny overlay...

If i have my phone hooked up through carplay and i go into Siri setting, and tap on one of her many accents to preview it? The preview through the truck stereo is 100% clear like the factory deck was. But if i access Siri via the stereo to do a voice-to-text? Her voice is again crap.

Has anyone had this issue before? Voice calls and Siri sounded totally smooth and normal through the stock deck (non JBL) with the same phone. (The stock head unit, non JBL doesnt have some sort of separate DPS processor does it?) I reset my phone and troubleshot everything i could find and its still doing this. I'm hoping someone might have an answer for me.

    Thanks in advance.
