I currently have stock Good Year Warangler A/T adventures Kevlar 265/70/16 on my 4-wheel drive 4 door SR5. I have had it stuck once, and do some weekend trail riding for camping and kayking. I need a new set what have you guys upgraded to, I know that a lot have gone to KO2 tires and those a lot stiffer than my SL rated. Have you guys noticed a difference in the ride. Trying to be practical about my next tires choice as I would like the look of a more off road tire but not sure I would be happy with the ride other than the weekends I go off road. What are your thoughts?

So i upgraded my sr5’s tires to c load duratracs and havent noticed a difference in stiffnesss. They have awesome traction offroad. They do hum a bit at highway speeds but that is to be expected with aggressive tires. Best thing about c load duratracs is that they only weigh 45 pounds.

Getting a heavy tire can make your truck sluggish and put extra wear on your truck.

when i was tire shopping i started to compare popular tire specs on excel and ended up making a thread

    - ICON UCAs, BP51/Kings, SCS wheels, 285s, Leer 100XR canopy. Greenlane aluminum winch bumper, Smittybilt X20 winch. Trying Falken AT3w now, Really like BF KO2s.
If you can find a tire you like in C load that will help with daily driving but still be strong for most situations. 45lbs or so.
I have run KO2s and really like them but in your size they only have E load for around 53lbs, its strong but overkill for most of your driving.
I did run E and C in the same size KO2 and only gained 1 mpg going to the lighter C load, not a big difference. Air pressure will really determine how your tire feels for daily driving. I run in the 35 front for pressure and 32 rear.
    Good luck choosing!

Thank you for the responses, I will probably stick with the same wrangler Kevlar tires. They weight 35 pounds and have done well for me. If my off road habits changed I will upgrade them to a more rugged off road tire.

A very street friendly tire I’ve liked in the past is the Yokohama Geolandar A/T G015. I had them on a previous 4runner and they did great offroad for how nice they were on the street.

In your size it would be 38lbs and ~$165.
