Some lift, some armor, some scratches..

What's the process for removing the "sticker" type TOYOTA on the tail gate of my '97?? Seems like it will come off pretty easily, but I don't want to scratch it to hell in the process. Is there a product that loosens or dissolves the adhesive?

Also should I be concerned with still being able to see where the stickers were as a result of paint fading over time?
