I'd still like to make it there.
Unfortunatly, been working saurdays and sundays this last quarter.

Would be fun to explore after a good snow.

While I first found this thread in 2019 on page 2, I finally hit Brown Mtn today, a few days before it closes for the season. I’ve since sold my Tacoma, currently have a Jeep on 35’s and 3.5” lift so I took it. Brown was a great easy-to-moderate trail for either a Jeep or Toyota(less ground clearance, smaller tires).
I’ll definitely be back up there soon in my new to me GX once I get my wheels/tires installed.

Today was dry, no rain in recent days, so only a few muddy spots. The first 1/2 up trail #1 is just rolling dirt, easy for a stock vehicle on stock tires. A couple steeper spots and some rocks beyond that but still not very challenging. At the top on #1 and #8 we hit a few small soft muddy spots, one tight spot between trees if we wanted to avoid a 2ft rocky ledge climb.
We saw a stock Tundra on aired down A/T’s make it most of the way, struggled on one muddy upslope but otherwise did just fine.
Definitely check it out if you’re nearby.

Last weekend camping before the snow storm. Woke up to everything covered in snow, Old school 4runner did great with the manual transmission swap and all the new parts.
