Right now I'm watching the start of the Tulsa Shootout Mini Sprint A Main

 

I've been over there for some practice sessions but never got to the race. Donnie's Dad got us a pass and I took my senior mechanic with me. That place is unreal....just unreal. I'm in Missouri now but Tulsa is amazing. The ground in Tulsa shakes it's so busy there.

EDIT. I'd like to punctuate this. Tulsa's unemployment rate in 2019 was 2.8% when the National level was 14.4%. If you were out of work in tulsa, you were dead. Like "dirt nap dead".

I used to be an official for CDCRA from 1999- 2010 , these race cars are fun to watch . Basically a mini sprint that would turn a 16 second lap on a 3/8th mile clay oval

We are heading back tomorrow. Thought the kid was over the allergies so I stayed an extra day.

So the last eagle that made it was Simba, is that correct? I hope he is doing well. I had read he left the Big Bear area.

Yes, Simba was the last baby. I hope he is, too. "Juvenile eagles travel for the first four years of their lives. They wander great distances in search of food." When the babies E15 & E16 from the SE FL nest left, was told by one of the experienced eagle watchers, that the juvenile birds will head north (from FL) in search of food

 

Another night up too late. It is now 3:30am but I finished the first wall. I am a semi perfectionist so it took 4 hours more just to get to this point.

It is very hard when the wallpaper wants to streach out of alignment as you go. It also like to kink up and fold. So much undo then redo.

I am very satisfied with how it turned out so far but man is this much more work than I had planned on.

Now I am thinking of installing shiplap from 8 feet to the top of the wall like I did in the living room. It is much more work but I am itching to do it.



So far. One wall down, three to go.
