Can't find where the last harness plug connects

    Morning y'all,
    So I did the my first head gasket in a 3rz and I can't find the receiving end of one of the wiring harness.
    Exhaust side , right below the heater core, a two pin connector that I've been looking for for two days now.

    goes to your coolant temp sensor on the back of your block towards the top. Pain to get to but doable.

    Dude thanks your awesome! Apparently I broke the plastic clip off while pulling the head .. will that not being hooked up cause it not to start?

    Quite honestly I am not sure. I would not think it would effect the start up of the vehicle since everything is cold anyways but I am not 100% on that. I replaced my engine last year and broke that little bastard off whilst re-installing into the vehicle. I ended up buying a new one with an OEM unit and all was well.

    Update for those who may be curious. The coolant temp. Sensor has to be hooked up for the truck to start.
    I was almost convinced that the timing chain slipped off the bottom and skipped a tooth making it skip time. So I went back , checked and rechecked everything, all connectors and plugs , pulled the valve cover checked cam gear and timing marks , did a compression check and everything was all in line. So since I had the valve cover off I pulled the coolant temp sensor and sure enough I must have banged the head against the fire wall and broke the plastic off of it making it hard to find where the harness plugs in.
    So after installing a new one and buttoning everything back down she fired right up..
    And I only had one extra nut when it was all said and done.
    I think it came off the old exhaust manifold..
    Anyway, thanks for the insight and help.

    I had a nearly identical problem last week, I thought I miffed the timing, started throwing stuff. I overlooked the IAC plug :anonymous:
