If it's not going off-road, what's the point of those silly lights?

A friend of mine bought an old IH Scout years ago. We took the roll bar padding off to replace it and found it was made of PVC.

This is not nearly as bad as some of you are making it out to be. Most "roll bars" made for these trucks while being metal, are mounted to the bed rails and not to the frames. So most metal ones infact do nothing in a roll over anyways as the bed sides will just fold over. OP is just using pvc instead of metal, for the purpose of holding a light, pvc will work just fine, be cheaper, wont rust, easy to make, and can be recycled into gutter down spouts for his house later on.

It kind of looks like something that would be made while under the influence of meth. The real kicker is on Monday when the boss is asking about missing ABS fittings that you took off a journeyman's truck. The life of an apprentice, mom's TV dinner, a liver on the decline, a woman that's knocked up and living in hotels because traveling for work like some kind of gypsy. It was at that moment that this was dreamed up on a Thursday night while having a good buzz at some truck stop diner. The journeyman was going all super plumber telling war stories about how he installed a toilet main at a military installation deep in the Colorado hills where he had to ski in with all his fittings in shit.

That sounds oddly specific and reminds me I should keep a closer eye on the Apprentice’s we have where I work. Although several years ago I had an Apprentice who made a Scorpion out of what he thought was a scrap piece of #14 wire I keep in the back of my truck.

A real roll bar offers protection in case of a rollover...

PVC home made racks...I think the esthetic value needs to be considered..

But each his own...way.. Sorry...this web site is use for advice ,help , recommendations, plus “critics..”

All of you give me a good laugh thanks. As it is just for cosmetics and it does hold the light bar as intended. I'm proud of my work and actually I am selling these kits to build yourself. Many compliments so I have now begun taking orders for production. Thanks to all who have great opinions. Stay away from Black Horse and go with
JWP Sport bar. Contact me for yours today.

TRD Pro badges on an SR model is interesting. Do whatever makes you happy with the truck. I dig the fenders though. Is it vinyl wrap or plastic dip?

Don't forget to add clean out trap, don't wanna get nabbed by code enforcement. Haha, sorry I couldn't help it man.

I think you are supposed to have a vendor's account to sell things on this forum.

Is it my eyes, or is it missing it's front legs? So basically it's a single arch that's leaned up against the back glass?

Do you have safelite on speed dial with every hard speed bump?

Careful with that endeavor. You don't have enough posts to sell items on TW... even if you're just selling a link to the Home Depot plumbing department.

I like your "outside the box" thinking. Sometimes it turns out good and sometimes not so much. This helps make America be a great innovative country. It is your truck so rock it if you like it.

Too many mods and I haven't even started yet..
PVC light bar? Ehhh.. If it works.

But this one is shaped to LOOK like a roll bar, which it clearly isn't, so that makes it look trashy. Don't make it look like something it isn't.
