    I've never been a fan of this color until I came to this thread to check it out. I'm searching for a Tacoma right now and I found one that's in this color. We're not super stoked on it but some of you guys have made this look awesome. How is the paint holding up. I'm looking at a 2010 and it looks faded from the pictures

    The clear coat on my roof is starting to chip and the paint on my passenger side fender flares was starting to fade. I took em off so doesn't matter anymore. I think the paint on tacomas tends to fade regardless of color as I've seen tons of posts from different colorways all complaining about it. However I was in the same boat as you in regards to color, its not that I didn't like the red I just never saw myself owning a red vehicle. But once you do it grows on you quick! Here's how my truck currently sits and I wouldn't trade it for anything. If you do end up getting it share some pics! Happy hunting :thumbsup:

    Before I had mine resprayed, the clear coat was done for on the hood, grill, bumper, and roof..

    Since red absorbs sun rays at a higher rate compared to other colors, it causes the paint to fade/fail quicker. That's the reason why most radiant red tacos aren't in the best of shape. Of course that also will depend how well (or not) the truck was maintained..
