I ordered the full JBL system upgrade to include the request for an additional sub woofer if offered I am also in their tier 1 order, as soon as I get this bad boy installed I will let you all know if it made a significant difference on the 3rd gen Tacoma JBL system or if its a waste of money. The emails I have received said shipping should happen around mid January so hopefully soon.

Last that I heard from @oemaudioplus last Friday is “Team is performing testing on the wiring harnesses in-vehicle today to ensure everything is perfect with the first batch. Leaving nothing up for chance prior to shipping. Likewise the Integration Interface for the 2020+ model year is being tested this upcoming week in batches - a lot of new electronics to take into account with this year model.” I think I might I contact Daniel for an update tomorrow.

Sounds like the 2020 versions won't be in the "first batch"?

Mid 60's/70's Rock and Roll sounds really nice on my Premium JBL system..

It could use a bit more push, but I'm very pleased with it for the time being.

I thought so too till I upgraded to a Jl amp, audiofrog gb15 and 6x9, and a sealed 10” jl sub with a pioneer headunit running active. Sound stage is a real thing and it’s absolutely incredible. Sounds like zeppelin’s playing a live show on my dash. Also was less $$$ than this setup, was a pain but worth it.

Very curious to hear people’s thought on this still though not that I’ll ever change. Anyone know if you’re able to tune this system and run it active?

I understand this system's DSP is already specifically tuned for the 3rd Gen Tacoma interior. As far as being able to tune yourself after the purchase, I don't know. I have zero experience with setting up a DSP.

Has anyone that ordered the full @oemaudioplus JBL system gotten it installed yet? Would love to get some impressions from those that have it/have had a chance to listen to it!

I haven't heard of anyone actually receiving their OEM+ system, yet. I have a 2020, so I think it will be a little longer than the 16-19 release. I got an email the other day asking if I had the SOS button from the factory. I replied and OEM+ replied back right away - so they are working on it. I like their customer service so far but honestly I was hoping that the shipping in mid-January 2020 might be a reality. I'm looking forward to an update email from them.

I’m in the same boat as you, with a 2020. I also got the same email last Friday asking about the SOS button and the subsequent update email. I have been very impressed with communication although I asked for an update on Wednesday and haven’t got a reply yet so that could change.

Got mine installed in a 2018 Tacoma. Sound is great! Tons of bass, but I'm having a few problems though.
Bluetooth calls are not usable. I can place and receive calls but can't hear the other person. I may hear half a syllable before it cuts out completely so that sucks. Also getting intermittent feed back thru the rear sub when I first start the truck. It eventually goes away, but is a bummer non-the-less. Also intermittently maybe 75% of the time it mutes the first 2-5 seconds of songs both streaming Bluetooth and stored locally on the iPhone. Daniel has been great thru the whole process and I got an email week before last informing me they were going to get a truck in house to try to replicate my issues. I'm patiently waiting on a resolution, but this is getting old fast as I'm in IT and get a ton of calls each day and using the speaker on the phone won't work long term. I'll update this thread when they get back to me.

Awesome feedback^ thank you!! I’ve got my finger on the buy button, but wanted some honest feedback like this first.

I received my system for my 2020 (that has the SOS button) a week ago Saturday. Daniel is still finishing up the installation video/instructions which I have been waiting on. As soon as I have mine installed I’ll be happy to provide feedback.

Mine is supposed to be delivered today! Prob install over this weekend. Great to hear about the bass reproduction. Any issues that might require or be helped by applying dynamat while things are exposed?

sucks to hear about the subwoofer “feedback” noted in the post above. hope that isn’t an issue for me too.

I went ahead and applied dynamat to all doors, rear wall and rear floor area while I had it apart. It made a huge difference in sound and the doors sound really solid when closing now
