    Icons blow.

    Bilsteins are meh.

    Radflo is ok.

    ADS is cool.

    Fox is cool.

    Kings are my choice.

I'll help ya out a little more.

If you're stock off the shelf valving is fine.

ANY modifications, talk to Accutane or DSM

As the pissing contest between ADS/RADFLO/KING is some small variations in components. This can be swapped out with a rebuild as well.

That includes adjusters for all those.

Fox stands with Dobinsons on having double the adjusters. Compression and rebound.

Icon can be revalved. Alot of people don't like digression. Like bilstein.

Edit: elka is here too in the conversation I believe it is @ColoradoTJ that has a king v elka thread

@2000prerunner23 i agree with with. Accutune really tried to talk me out of the triples in the rear. I have not tested them off-road. But so far I’m happy With the ride, even with a load. I have haul a jungle gym for the kids and that sucker was like 400 pounds. Ride was great.

I just put Fox 2.5 triple bypasses on the rear of my truck. And I have icon RXT stage 2 and it rides like a dream.. I’m SOA and had them valved by accutune. I open them up
On the road, compression and rebound I’m playing with but it’s a nice ride.

If I’m correct the smoothies are linear and bypasses are progressive. But feels like the bypasses tuned by accutune are progressive/linear. They feel really nice.

fox has stronger shafts. I don’t think king uses a flutter stack.. king is a great company and so is fox. They have always been very helpful.

I think the bypass tubes are larger in diameter on the fox. King are aluminum body, fox is steel. Corrosion advantage to king.

Seems alot has already been discussed in here, my experience in short. Had full icon and was never happy, called accutune and got a full Fox setup. Felt amazing other than I didn't like what the rear did on large hits, sent them back to accutune for my free re valve and could not be happier now. My vote is Fox thru accutune

I had the BP-51s on my '16 4Runner, they were great and I liked them a lot. On my '20 Tacoma, I went with King, after having the Kings I realized the BP-51 were a bit lacking...especially for almost the same price. Doing it all over again, I would go with either King, Fox, ADS, or Elka. I love my Kings, but I'm sure the other three I mentioned would provide fantastic handling as well.

I would never in a million years consider Icon, they aren't even in the same ballpark as the others.

If you really want a good time. Get some icons, wait till the poorly designed top hat cracks and then deal with their customer service. Calling it terrible wouldn't do my experience justice 20210118_143135.jpg

How did this occur ? Side load on the shock? Too much rebound force ? Fascinating...

Not sure. Its pretty common from some of the threads of read. Its a poor design for sure. Not much material in the high stress area.

Now that's a deal breaker for me!! Companies that don't stand behind their products is the absolute worst! Thank you for the insight! Icon is off the table for me.

They didn't stand behind shit. Called and spoke to someone about the cracked top hats and they said they know its a issue but outside of warranty they can't help me. So I ordered 2. About $150. Took about 2 week for me to get the parts and..... the shipped the wrong thing. Called and spoke to the same person and they would not ship the new part to me until I paid $150 again and they would refund my other 150 after they received the wrong parts back. Then it was about another 2.5 weeks before rhe right parts came in. Over a month dealing with this shit and tied up my $150 over they mistake.

On my RXTs they didn’t come with the plastic spacers on the ends of the leafs. Holes but no spacer. I called them and got some chick who transferred me to a voicemail every time. My calls were not returned. I get that is a cheap part but it’s was a taste of their CS for a cheap part.

I just went on Amazon prime and ordered some, two days later I got them. It beat dealing with them. I won’t but their products. The RXT are nice cause of adjustability. Cons, they are loud, had to add leaf liners, all good now..Fox or king all the way. Deaver is my leaf pack
