They all will function the same my man. Main difference is aesthetics to be honest,
    Three main options
    ARB
    Dobison
    Airflow

Only difference besides aesthetics is the dobison and arb don’t require as long of a connection because the hole is closer to the intake. Pretty sure on this haha

    I went airflow

Just installed last week, exactly the same as a "dobinson". Not sure who owns the original design but I'm guessing whoever uni-sttickma is that is stamped on the inside of the snorkel? (Possibly russian?)

I would probably go with whatever's cheapest
$500+ for a piece of plastic is ridiculous
Airflow looks the best. The others are unnecessarily bulky

unless it’s an ARB, or an Airflow, it’s probably a China clone. The dobinsons/Ironman/etc are all China clones with their brand stamped on. Why? Because they are the same design as the ARB.

Not that it really matters. I have a China cloned 1st gen Tacoma ARB snorkel on my GX. It’s even stamped with the same ARB part number, probably made in a mold of the genuine ARB part.

Not a fan of the Dobinson, fitment to the fender isn't good and my snorkel/precleaner sets at an angle. Fender side of the plastic "leach" has something like universal molded in and fitment seems to confirm it wasn't made for a Tacoma, though it's not horribly far off.
Bracket from snorkel to A-pillar is a throw away item. Luckily I had a stainless bracket I bent to fit and some stainless hardware and a body rivet for the A-pillar side.
Wind noise is a little irritating if the radio isn't on.
Have seen another brand that didn't fit well (not ARB) but don't recall the other popular make.
For the positive, intake fitment is tight so no leaks. It's tough, has been beat hard running through brush, hard enough that I lost my radio antenna and seriously mangled my ham antenna on a ditch light bracket. Some scratches but no damage.

It is chinese. Local sellers offer these for about $60 here in Russia.

I love the Air Flow. It looks the best IMO. My buddy has the Dobbi, it's beefy. My other buddy has the ARB. The Airflow just looks like it makes sense. Prinsu_Arial.jpg Side_Shot_APR2020.jpg

All snorkels do effectively the same thing, the only thing you get by buying more expensive is brand name, warranty, and possibly better materials.

I don't have any personal evidence to back up suck claims but supposedly the ARB Safari snorkel can be run over and popped back out without breakage whereas I swear I've seen complaints on here about the china ones being thinner not UV stable plastic that cracks when brushing tree limbs.

IMHO you get what you pay for.

I got in on a group buy here and got my ARB Safari for $400 and it certainly feels more premium compared to others I've seen. Not having to question the fit finish and quality was worth it to me.

I think it's the right amount of chonky, not too big like many seem to think. The land cruiser ones and others don't look big enough to me and kind of funky personally, so legitimately appearance was part of my final selection choice.

Can't go wrong with a snorkel though!

Of course all so prepare yourself for lots of questions and a couple of "Sweet front exhaust man!" as I have gotten a few times now.

I also noticed a slight MPG increase with it on the highway when it gets a little ram air effect.

The hilux one is still the best looking one even though it takes a little finagling to get it installed. The new arb and the rest of them just look like a bloated stocky version of the hilux on our trucks. It’s a matter of your opinion on which one you like better but I’ve had the hilux one going on 11 years on my truck and no fade or wear from branch scratches etc.
