I have an ARE Z cap with the small LED fixture, after snooping around I found that the power to the light is tied into the headlamp switch. A local installer says this is normal, not sure if I want my lights on each time I want light in the bed area. Is there another source that is a good choice for power? Sorry not familiar with wiring stuff.

Also is there a good option out there for swinging my cooler rack away from the truck so that I can lower my tailgate while fishing? Thanks in advance.

Mine came tapped right from the battery so always hot. I’ve since installed an aux fuse/relay box so all aftermarket accessories are routed from it. Another member put his cooler on the front bumper using a front mounted receiver and put rod holders there while he was at it.
