Does anyone have a hood protector? Do you like it? Does it work? Would like to see some pictures. I like the weathertech hood protector but don’t see how it can actually protect anything another than the front end of the hood.

Only aesthetic mods so far Leer 180 cap & Clazzio covers on order.
I had one on my '06 TRD - it seemed to reduce (not eliminate) a large portion of the bug hits. I do not have one on my '21 TRD. Time will tell.
The only real way to compare would be in a wind tunnel with a smoke emitter to evaluate the air flow over the hood & cab.

I have the regular avs one in smoke color. I can say it’s not the greatest at preventing small rocks from to the glass but it’s great at preventing small paint chips on the hood. And I can confirm that it does change the direction of the air. When there’s water on the hood, it doesn’t move.

I’ve had one on my 2011 since new. When I go through moth swarms, I notice most of them go over the windshield where as my buddies look like they where in a bug tornado

edit: I have the toyota bug deflector

Hard top camper...many more to add+
I had them on my old truck..I like them...it did what it was made for..
Defect bugs off the wind shield, and keeps the window cleaner, helps the front of hood from small debris , scratchs and damages on the front part of the hood...(on my old truck ...my wind defector took a rock hit and crack the defector..brought a another one to replace it.. this may have save the front wind shield?

it may reduce gas mileage..maybe 1.5% and up to 3%..?
I had a clear one ..do not buy clear...sun will fade it and turn yellow..
Any car compounds can be use to remove the tarnish and scratches, then use normal car polish to finish..
    Aloha

not sure I will get one...something about the way it looks? Or just me?
