Planning to install mine this weekend. Just to be clear, this is the RIGHT hole, correct? It comes into the cab more in the back seat than under the front passenger.

You put it in the hole which isn’t already occupied. A rather decent rule of thumb.

The "S" model should be what you need. The naming scheme is weird but I think the consensus is "S" for short and "L" for long. I also ordered the "L" from OEM Part Source (instead of Amazon) and they were able to confirm the fit for my long bed using my VIN.

Do you have the part number for the long bed? Where did you buy from? Looking for one.

Also a bit confused with the bed light at the begining of the thread. If my truck comees OEM bed light package - will this lock interfere with the light in any way?

    Thanks

I believe @deusxanime has the OEM tailgate lock and OEM bed lighting.

I _think_ this may be the right part number for long bed from some googling but I would want at least one other person to confirm that.

Its the correct part number for a long bed, I just installed mine last week in y 2016 DCLB. I think the issue regarding bed lights is the cab hole called out as being blanked by a grommet might be used already for the bed lighting. Not 100% sure because I don't have bed lighting, the hole under the passenger seat in my truck was unused.

My gut on this topic is that it would _only_ be an issue for the pre-2020 OEM bed lighting (surface mount pods) and not the 2020 and up pre-cut flush mount bed lighting. From what I have seen and read, the 2020+ OEM bed lighting is pre-wired in the OEM harness and you only add in the lights and plug them in after popping out the blank plates, there is no add-on wiring harness needed. This is one of the cooler aspects of the 2020+, how easy it is to add bed lights.

Why not just look under your truck and see if you have a blank hole under the passenger seat? If so you should be good to go.
