    So I bought this truck and didn't think much of it but now I'm curious what these rails running along the top of my truck bed are for. I imagine it had something to do with a cover or truck cap maybe. There is also some wiring towards the tailgate of the truck bed I imagine was for some lights or something. Just curious if anyone knows what they are for. Thanks.

    That’s OEM comes on all 2nd and 3rd gens (they are missing the front one). There is supposed to be some cleats that clip in for tie downs or you can use to mount a ton of other stuff but they came with the truck not related to an aftermarket cover.

    Your truck originally came with 4 of these. They are adjustable along those tracks so you can tie stuff down.
