All I can say is a year ago I was in your shoes. These were fairly high on my list, but mostly because of the design style. I can’t speak to their functionality. FWIW, I ended up going the custom route somewhere else.

I've been looking for close to a year and so far these are at the top of my list because sliders are not steps and these are closest to the cab (at a 30* angle): https://www.shrockworks.com/Rock-Sliders-for-3rd-Generation-Tacoma-2016-2019-pr-16297.html

Tied for second is https://www.runnin4tacos.com/products/rock-sliders-2005-2020-toyota-tacoma and https://avidoffroad.com/cart/index....oma/2012-2014-toyota-tacoma-sliders-3715.html both of which I believe are at a 25* angle.

Regardless of what you go with make sure they use American steel. It makes a difference.

One of my friends has those on his 4th gen 4runner. We were both underwhelmed by the mounting design. Doesn't appear very strong at all compared to other offerings. If you plan on actually using the sliders, I would look elsewhere.

Probably a good thing to ask if they can be used as a hi-lift point, but based on that image it sure looks iffy.

It really does. It's not like it's going to fail or anything, but it would certainly flex enough to be pushed up into the pinch weld on the bottom of the cab.

I don’t plan on doing heavy off roading or maybe even none more for steps to get into the truck

All of the options I posted are less expensive and have much better mount points.

A grand for sliders is way overpriced, especially HREW. Check out 4xinnovations. Inexpensive, not cheap and reasonable lead times. Domestic DOM tubing made in WI. I got the weld-ons and they are stout as hell.

    Stock as all get out.
I was fortunate enough that someone was able to give me some dimensions of their sliders and I’m having a local shop make mine for $300. Find someone who has the slider design you like and see if they will take some measurements and have a local shop do it for you. A lot cheaper

For what is worth I put RCI on my Tacoma but have purchased a set of RSG for the 4RNr
I called RSG before ordering and asked about hi lift etc. they 100 percent assured me they will take a hi lift and told me they do the forklift test when developed
I would not be concerned with the mouting they’re frame mounted sliders like RCI.
I am still waiting for theee to come in - can let you know what I get when the arrive
But I felt a comfort level after speaking with their team. Only switched from RCI because advertised lead time was better - we’ll see if that holds true . RCI is another great option to consider as well

Somebody here as cad files he’s willing to share as long as you don’t commercialize them.
