If you read thouroghly, you might catch that the airbag removal is for when you swap the light stalk, not adding a switch.:burp:

Yeah, that’s why I didn’t want to go that route. Saw taking out the airbag when putting the factory stalk switch, kept reading and saw the dash switch and opted for that.

haha well I've only skimmed so far and didn't see any info about sr5. but now that yall have helped me out I am going to go back thoroughly!
and as far as jumping the green like you mentioned, I'm wanting to have it so I can have the green fogs on when everything else is off when out hunting.

We'll that changes it a bit. Since the fogs "need" the tail/parking input to the Main Body ECU to function.
Could be different in other year models...

With the way you did it, can you turn your fogs on with the dash switch when all other lights are turned off?

No. Still need to have the parking lights on in order to run the fogs.

    That would be waaay expensive.
    But here:
    upload_2021-1-19_6-28-26.jpg
Remember terminal placement, side that comes from relay, NOT to the side on the fuse holder that goes to 1F connector.
Warning - Remove fog fuse 15A in engine bay fuse box BEFORE you do this. Or better yet the ground terminal of the battery. The beige wire is always "hot" (battery source, not ignition source)

Just finished installing fog lights on my SR ‘17 w/convenience package. I don’t think I would of been able to do it without this thread, so thank you @Nitori !

I did do a couple things differently. My taco came with the bed lights button already installed, so I tapped my switch power from an used dash plug meant for the rear power window switch (It’s a white plug that comes out in the same place that the bed light one does behind the driver side dash cover).

Thanks to post #115, also by @Nitori , in this thread I was able to figure out my switch wiring where it illuminates the dash light when the fog lights are on and turns the fog lights off when the high beams are on.

While doing this project I came across many negative reviews for the fog light bezels. The main problems people were having with the bezels is that they either didn’t fit snuggle into the pre existing attachment slots (I don’t know the technical term for this) and/or they were falling off while driving. This made me worried my bezels could fall off so I decided to make them a little more secure. Below are photos of how I did this. Used for each bezel is 1 zip tie.

EDIT: forgot to mention this. I ran into a road block that had me trouble shooting my set up for HOURS. I had everything wired and ready to go but the fog lights just would not want to turn on. Turns out my factory plug in the grill that you plug the engine harness into was dirty! I cleaned out the dirt in the plug and it fixed the problem!

So I originally wired up my fogs like auxiliary lights with the intent of doing this eventually. We'll eventually is today, I'm prewired and I did the steering wheel off method. Fog light indicator on the instrument cluster comes on and I hear the relay but no lights. Any thoughts on connections I should check? Just verified the ones on the lights and the main body harness.

Thanks @lamjam , just flipped both adapters and both fogs came on :fistbump:.

Now to figure out why DRL position isn't working, not that I ever use it...

Alright, I'm getting up my nerve to do this mod, and have about 95% confidence in myself. I'm prewired, and installing a dashboard switch on my 2020. The only part of these instructions I can't grok is:

"In pin location 26 you will find a BLUE wire where non-prewired folks would find none.
I'll leave it up to you how you want to go about getting this blue wire to be ground switched- you can use a tap, or cut it and add a splice..."

So, I'm going to pull that blue wire from 26, extend it if necessary, and ground it to a nearby bolt? Then use the wire from the switch to feed back into pin 26? Is that right?

Any further instructions/assistance is appreciated - and please feel free to explain it like I'm 5 y/o.
