Strange noise going from reverse to drive

So, in the mornings I hear a strange grinding noise when I switch from reverse to drive. Have any of you guys ever experience this? I only experience in the morning because I back out of my driveway everyday to head to work. However, it doesn't happen everyday.

Try to capture the noise on video. Does it happen more in the cold?

 

True metal on metal grinding or an electrical sound like a solenoid?

 

Thanks! I will try to capture. I want to say it has happened during warmer weather as well.. I can't remember to be honest.

 

Its not like a grinding sound you would hear when you grind a gear shifting with a manual transmission. Its hard to describe. I will try to record the sound.

 

In the meantime lemme throw out a wild question:

Are you coming to a full and complete stop before your hand touches the shifter?

 

Yes, I thought maybe I was shifting too quick. So, I made sure I was at a complete stop and it still happened.
